Apr 20, 2021

By now all will be familiar with the term Covid-19, which has become a global crisis for all most a year now. It has not only impacted the health of the human race, but also has caused social and economic impacts. It affects people of all ages, including otherwise healthy people.

Is there any vaccine to fight against this pandemic? This is the new question in every individual’s mind and is a hot topic discussed around the globe. Covid-19 vaccines generate immune responses to the protein part of the virus.  After a person is vaccinated, his body gets prepared to fight against the virus if he gets infected by the Coronavirus in the future.

FACTS ABOUT THE VACCINE:

1: Will the COVID vaccine causes infertility?

The vaccine is developed to provide immunity against the virus. It helps the body to learn about the spike protein by creating copies of the same. Hence, fertility is not affected after you get vaccinated.

2. Vaccine not necessary after being infected by the virus once.

Infected once does not mean that the virus does not infect you again. Getting vaccinated will be beneficial. The fact is re-infection is possible and it is advisable to get vaccinated to escape from the ill effects caused by the virus.

3. Is it required to wear a mask after being vaccinated?

Of course, yes, it is the responsibility of every individual to practice infection prevention precautions. So continue to wear masks, use sanitizers and maintain at least six feet distance from people. Vaccines cannot stop the virus from entering your body, but it helps to develop immunity against the same.

4. Can the vaccine be developed for the common cold, HIV, and other diseases?

Developing a vaccine for the common cold is difficult since it is not one virus that causes flu but there are thousands as such. So developing a vaccine for one virus will make it ineffective. In the case of HIV, the virus itself hides from the human immune system, making it extremely difficult to develop the vaccine.

COVID vaccines are still in the processing stage and may take another few months to get 100% approval from the government. Hence, avoid unnecessary outdoors and take care of yourself and your loved ones.
